SERVICE LINE: Snyder Langston

The Board of Directors of the Midnight Mission evaluated the issues facing its target population and the limitations of the current facility and after careful planning and study determined that they needed an additional 50,000 s.f. of program space. To address this need, the Midnight Mission Board launched a capital development program toward the construction of a new facility located in the downtown central area, at Sixth and San Pedro Streets. The program expands existing services to reach more individuals and develops new programs to respond to unmet needs of the service population.

The Midnight Mission hired Snyder Langston to build the new three-story, 90,000 s.f. headquarters and operational facility that includes one level of below grade and a one level basement. The facility also features a food kitchen, a dining room, lavatories, meeting areas, a library, classroom training facilities, dormitory area for 300, a gymnasium, clothing distribution and job placement centers, administrative office space, warehouse space for donations and subterranean parking.
